Dr. Julie Pastagia is a native New Yorker whose love for
learning was first fostered at Stuyvesant High School in
Manhattan. She went on to complete her undergraduate
education at New York University. In 2003, she earned her
D.M.D. at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston,
graduating magna cum laude. She then made the big move
to Seattle where she completed a three-year residency
program in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery at the
University of Washington, one of the premier periodontal
programs in the nation. Dr. Pastagia is now the owner of a
private periodontal practice in midtown Manhattan.

Beatriz Malibiran

MD Pediatric Cardiologist | NYU Langone

Dr. Beatriz Malibiran is a Queens native and Stuyvesant
graduate who always dreamed of coming home to work with
the community that she grew up in. She attended Bowdoin
College and then went on to University of Rochester for
medical school, but ultimately made her way home for
pediatrics residency at Cohen Children's Medical Center at
Northwell. She is completing her fellowship in pediatric
cardiology at NYU now with plans to work in the area after
her upcoming graduation in June. In between studying and
working, Beatriz makes sure to have fun with her dog in the
local parks and relax with yoga, baking and running.

racial/ethnic minority populations. She is particularly
interested in understanding and intervening on behavioral,

Marco Scoffier is a senior AI engineer on the Nvidia
infrastructure team, and has worked in a number of domains
including autonomous vehicles (AV) and large language
models (LLMs).

Frank Zheng

LLMs | Meta AI

Frank joined Meta in 2018 working on language and speech
modeling. Frank has worked on very small models running on
Meta's smart glasses, as well as very big models such as
Llama3. Career wise, Frank has worked as a manager
supporting a team, as well as individual contributor. Most
recently, Frank has been working on Llama model pre-
training in the text domain. Before Meta, Frank was working
as a quantitative researcher at a NY hedge fund. Frank
pursed Physics and Computer Science majors in undergrad
and grad school, and was a competitive programmer
participated in ACM/ICPC and Informatic Olympiad.
